Anderson university landing page redesign
Uplifting the University’s Current Landing page
I was tasked with uplifting the overall operating structure for Anderson University’s home page. With the revolving door of innovation happening at AU, the previous layout and information present when a user came to the website was no longer meeting AU’s standard of excellence.
I studied the different audience types visiting the site and developed a strategy for easy navigation for everyone, which was the biggest challenge in this project.
The next key step was to identify what aspects of the University should be prominently featured. A major part of this was determining what sets Anderson University apart from other local and national universities. This dynamic feature allows the user to hover over each point, changing the photo and corresponding description copy, allowing a sense of discovery.
Tools Used:
Figma, Photoshop, Elementor, WordPress
EXpanding the design
I then needed to make the design go deeper than the landing page. I created a design system that would work for a variety of content and worked within that to create the “shell” pages. This was an integral step to have the new look permeate the University’s website as I go through and redesign and restructure it as a whole over time.
Don’t just take my word for it. You are able to look through the working files that I passed to the development team to see the final product.
Photography seen throughout the mockup of this project was taken by Westin Edwards, Anderson’s University Photographer and Editor.
